TMNT Reboot director to fans: ” Rest assured your childhood is safe”

Speaking to cinema blend, Jonathan liebesman, director of the TMNT reboot movie, reassured fans that their childhoods are safe with him.

When asked about the tone of the film, Liebesman had this to say: “I don’t know yet because I’m sitting in a room with Kevin Eastman who co-created it and we’re busy working on it. But if you were a fan, you’ll love it and if you’re a new fan, you’ll love it, too, but anything new or expanding the universe is all coming from Kevin and is true to the mythology and will tie in with the mythology and people can rest assured their childhoods are safe. ”

And when asked about how will the turtle be portrayed, Liebesman answered: “I think for turtles you’d look at Rise of the Planet of the Apes, you know, that kind of stuff.”

Cinema blend then asked a direct question wondering if the turtles will be CGI, to which Liebesman replied “Maybe!”

While the idea of the turtles being aliens has not been debunked yet, Liebesman is doing a terrific job controlling the damage Michael Bay’s announcement caused.
