To celebrate the reboot of the TNT on the small screen, and to promote the show on the currently ongoing San Diego Comic Con, Nickelodeon launched a mobile app titled Turtles vs Foot.

The App allows Comic Con attendees to join either the Turtles Clan or the evil Foot Clan, and then get a free hat. The application is available on both android and Iphone here: http://m.turtlesvsfoot.com/index-desktop.html

After releasing a great looking trailer, for their upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles, Nickelodeon just announced that the show will officially debut in the US on September 19th. The show is described as “Funnier and with more Ninjutsu than ever before, the show will explore the companionship of four teenage brothers learning to rely on themselves and one another as they unravel the mystery of their existence and grow to become the heroes in a half-shell that they are destined to be.”

The first season will consist of 26 episodes, and more season have already been green-lit. With the San diego Comic con taking place next week, expect more info and maybe some new footage from this new TMNT series.

To celebrate the upcoming cartoon reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Nickelodeon launched a dedicated website, located here, that features the some great goodies.

Visiting the site, you will first be greeted by sweet new series trailer that was recently released. The site also features Bios for the four brothers as well as the great fun game titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Dark Horizon that you can play for free. The site also features message boards where you can discuss the turtles.

Fun Fact: It seems that theme music for the series, is a remix of, the famous, 1980’s TMNT cartoon opening music !

The below back package of the Splinter toy, coming out next month, reveals his story in the upcoming Nickelodeon’s adaptation.

If the bio is correct, Splinter is indeed Hamato Yoshi, who was mutated to his rat form, much like the 80’s cartoon series.

The highly anticipated Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was showcased yesterday at the London’s MCM Expo.

Thanks to, the lucky, Technodorme Forums user, Chris, we have a detailed description from what went on at the TMNT panel. Check it out below:

“Going into the main theatre, it was great to see all the chairs laid out with free TMNT goodies. The main screen had a clip on repeat (almost like a screen saver) that was just NYC backgrounds (nothing from the actual show) in blue, red, orange and purple hues, occasionally we’d get the hash tag #NickTurtles and the logo. Nick had guys there taping the panel and they came round recording us putting on our bandanas and making hero poses which was fun to watch. They warmed the crowd up having us shout out “I love being a turtle” and did the obligatory please turn off mobiles/recording devices “or a ninja will come and get you”. Then they brought out Nick Senior VP Rich Magallanes and, to massive applause, Kevin Eastman.  Read more...

Through Kelly Hu’s Twitter page, the veteran actress announced that she is cast in the upcoming Nickelodeon’s Ninja Turtles Tv series as the Karai, second in command of the Foot Clan.

Karai has appeared prominently in the 2K3 cartoons, as well as the Mirage Comics. She made her IDW comics debut in Issue#9.
